Pacific Regional CIIP Workshop

Overview

35 participants attended the Pacific Regional CIIP Workshop jointly hosted by the CTO and Government of Fiji & ITU in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Other partners included the Department of Communication for the Government of Australia, Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulator of Vanuatu and ITU IMPACT. The participating countries included: Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand,Tonga, Tuvalu, Timor Leste, Samoa and New Zealand.

The two-day meeting was divided into two parts:- first part addressed the National Cybersecurity Strategies, education, legislation and policy development, the second part focused on addressing child online safety and related programmes.
