PDT


PDT membership is open to organisations seeking to provide or receive training in the field of ICTs so as to develop their capacity and enable their staff to be aware of technological developments within the sector.

There are two types of membership options available to anyone wishing to become a PDT member:

  • Requesting Members: Any Government ICT/Telecommunications Ministry or Regulatory Authority, National ICT Implementing agency, telecom operator (whether fixed or mobile) which is seeking training to fulfill their own internal training requirements.
  • Offering Members: Any Government ICT/Telecommunications Ministry or Regulatory Authority, National ICT Implementing agency, telecom operator, service provider or consultant that wishes to offer ICT related training to any of the above requesting partners.

Project funding (training or consulting) The provision of one training course at the requesting members’ offices. The provision of two training course at the requesting members’ offices. Fully funded access* for one delegate to any PDT international conference organised by the CTO

Key terms & conditions
  • Payment of annual membership fees
  • Requirement to host at least a third of total courses awarded
  • Funding is limited to transport, accommodation and subsistence and is based on economy fares and UN DSA applicable subsistence rates

Important Notes:

  1. * The CTO will pay for the participant’s subsistence, international travel, accommodation and event registration.
  2. A typical course would accommodate around 25 participants.
  3. For consulting assignments, only partial funding may be offered, depending on project scope and available funding.

    Important Notes:
    Any Government ICT/Telecommunications Ministry, communications regulatory agency, network operator, service provider or consultant can become an Offering Partner by paying a subscription fee of GBP 5,000 per annum.

    How to apply for PDT membership:

    Applying for membership of the PDT should be done in writing, by filling in the PDT Membership Application Form and returning it to:
