About the event
In its 125th year of service to the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) will host its 64th Council Meeting in Lesotho on 23 April 2026. Open to representatives of Full Member Countries and other CTO members, the Council will determine the Organisation’s broad policies and strategic direction, examine and approve its business plan and budget, adopt key decisions, and elect members of its governing bodies—making it a pivotal moment in shaping the CTO’s future.
The Council forms part of the Commonwealth Digital Roadshow, the CTO’s flagship 125th anniversary initiative, taking place from 20–24 April 2026. Across five days, the Roadshow will convene policymakers, industry leaders, women, youth, and community stakeholders for dialogue, capacity building, and partnership-building around digital transformation. From the Digital Policy Forum and the Women in Digital Forum & Youth and Innovation Forum to dedicated community outreach, the programme will highlight the power of digital technologies to drive sustainable development, economic growth, and meaningful community impact across Lesotho and the wider Commonwealth.
