Cameroon Digital Switchover (CAM-DTV) Project

Abstract
This project aims to produce, in consultation with Cameroon Digital Broadcasting Switchover (DSO) Committee (CAM-DTV), broadcasters and the Government of Cameroon; a technical specification, processes and criteria for procuring services to design, build and roll out the digital terrestrial TV infrastructure and transmission network. In addition, the project aims to deliver the National Strategic Plan for achieving the above objectives.
As part of the activities in the project, the CTO and two consortium partners have delivered technical specification that will be used as a tender document for the selection of strategic implementation partner with CAM-DTV to enable the realisation of DSO in Cameroon.
It is also expected that the consortium will assist CAM-DTV to conduct and process the selection of a strategic implementation partner. During this process, the consortium will also facilitate the management and quality control/audit of the work during the work during the implementation of the digital network.
Expected impact
- A report on the current digital migration infrastructure in Cameroon;
- Technical design specification based on best practice;
- The invitation to tender for prospective;
- Enable Cameroon complete the Digital Migration process successfully
