West African Regional CIIP Workshop

Overview

Over 300 participants from 13 different countries attended the West African Regional CIIP Workshop jointly hosted by the CTO, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, ITU, Interpol and ECCAS in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The participating countries included: Cameroon, Burundi, Angola, Central Africa Republic (CAR), Chad, Republic of Congo, DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia and Senegal.

The workshop consisted of a 3-day Cyber-security Forum and the plenary plenipotentiary of the Yaoundé Cyber-security Declaration

  • Cyber-security strategy development
  • Establishing a CIP framework
  • Provide technical advice to the ministers on adopting recommendations
  • Participate in the Sub-regional Cyber-security Forum & ECCAS Ministerial Meeting
