Drawing on the knowledge generated through its series of Digital Broadcasting Switchover Africa Forum, the CTO organised the first Digital Broadcasting Switchover Caribbean Forum jointly with the Caribbean Broadcasting Union and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association.

Held on 13th to 14th August 2012 at the Grand Royal Antiguan Beach Resort in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, the event was attended by delegates from both Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth countries of the Caribbean, lead by Hon. Dr. Edmond A. Mansoor, Minister of State, Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science and Technology, Office of the Prime Minister, Antigua and Barbuda and Hon. Senator Sandrea Falconer, Minister without Portfolio (Information) and Chair of Digital Switchover Committee of Jamaica. Speakers at the event represented public sector, private sector and international organisations including the International Telecommunication Union.
