DBSF Africa 2013
The 8th annual Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation was held at the Holiday Inn in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa from 11th to 13th February 2013. There were over 100 key decision makers in attendance, led by the Honourable Minister Dina Pule, Minister of Communications of South Africa, and Senator Winnie K Magagula, Minister of Information, Communication and Technology of Swaziland.
The event was declared open by Dr Stephen Mncube, Chairperson, Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, with Mr Trilock Dwarka, Chairman, Information and Communication Technologies Authority of Mauritius, delivering the key note address. Speaker panels were made up of more than 20 international experts, who shared their views on various aspects of pre and post digital switchover planning. The event also featured an associated industry exhibition, showcasing products and services relating to digital transmission and content management from a range of international companies.
