The Commonwealth Broadband Forum 2016, under the theme Connecting Smart Communities, took place on the 21-23 September 2016, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Stall 7, Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The forum acknowledged the crucial role of the network as the platform to help transform community life. It reviewed how communities are connected, administered, and managed to achieve social, economic, and environmental sustainability. The 2016 event examined areas including the development of national broadband strategies and relevant technologies, which also focused on applications and data.
